I’m part of a book club and this was August’s choice. If you’re after a whodunnit story but with more depth to it, then this is for you. We know from the beginning that Maali Almeida was murdered and the story follows his spirit trying to figure that out before he enters the afterlife for good. It’s so much more than that – it touches on important political and social issues, sharing poignant messages about identity, friendship and family.
